welp. idk, i'm getting tired of the same/generic/common sounding hats, snares, whatever. idk. maybe i needed to add more tracks. idk. working on this one made me smile though im like yey yey something right's happening.
EDIT: 2 august 2016
oomagosh. i listened to this today with headphones (i did this w/o headphones), and i'm saying "wth that bass". eeeeeeeeee. i need to work on this. -nods nods-
i also would like to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my dear kuya clarence. stay pretty and if you're reading this, hah, hello. i love u.

here's the track i set myself to make before i turn 20 which is tomorrow. it's similar to the one in my first entry. it's been quite a day. finished my entrance exam (music) for university of the philippines. i kinda don't want to pass to save myself from dilemma, because the music industry is truly so unstable and unfair. but i also do want to pass because being accepted is great.
some things i learned in logic:
-how to bounce (like export) a project to an mp3 file
-how to fade out a single note in the piano roll, which is by mapping the volume
tried to make it more naturally harp-ish but i know it's still lacking
and my mom just said it's like yoga music and relaxing! i'm glad she likes it. she said it seemed short though.
stay safe and healthy everyone

wanted to share this video as, what can i say, it's rich in culture and very colorful to me
Description (Youtube): Ethnic music and dance are one and inseparable in the traditions of the different tribes that populatedthe Philippine Islands (7,000 more or less) since hundreds of years ago before the arrival of the Spaniards in the 14th century and their subsequent 350 years of colonization through the Cross and Sword. It is with sadness though that these ethnic traditions are dying and seldom performed in their original forms. The 2009 National Music Competitions for Young Artists (NAMCYA) was for the Category A Group (10-14 year olds) in the Traditional Philippine Ensembles, thus you will see these performed by the young. The 1st is from the BAGOBO tribe of Davao in Southern Philippines and the 2nd group are the IFUGAO of the Mountain province in Northern Philippines. You will notice that these song-music-dances reflects to a great degree the chime-gong traditions of Filipino national minorities.

"bagong yugto" is the graduation song of my class in high school, st. teresa sy 2012-2013 in SSAM. this was years ago and here i tried to play it the same way it was back then :)
why, because i miss my high school days. if i could go back i will and make myself all better. but now they're memories and they are happy memories. SSAM is a great school. my second home. i went there for 11 years (prep, grade 1-6, years I-IV) and i love that i did. can't imagine that i would've been better off somewhere else. thanks mom, and to my piano teacher, sr lolita de vera, osb.

if you're wondering why i made a page for my music stuff instead of linking my soundcloud, it's because i don't like the "feel" of soundcloud. it's too orange for me. and i want my thoughts on the music i post to be on the same webpage.

IT'S BEEEEN A YEAR+ SINCE I UPLOADED SOMETHING. i tried to make a piano track. of course it could be better but for now i'll share this 30-second one. i'm having trouble with tempo (always had, hopefully i'll understand it more fully). i want to add other instruments too. i don't know what tempo to set it on the DAW. i recorded this one no metronome. i'll work on quantizing it i guess o_o i'm not good with music terms.
this was made possible with a keyboard, my friend's interface, and studio one. but even more possible because recently i met several music people that are very supportive and helpful. motivation
